PRP

WHAT IS PRP?

prp

PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma. Platelets contain several growth factors that can help stimulate cell growth, cell proliferation, collagen and tissue regeneration.

HOW IS PRP PERFORMED?

A small amount of your blood is drawn. It is then placed in a centrifuge and spun to separate the platelets and plasma from the other components of the blood. After the plasma and platelets are separated from the rest of the blood, they are injected into either the scalp to stimulate hair growth, or into facial skin in order to achieve more youthful skin.

HOW CAN PRP HELP TREAT HAIR LOSS?

Platelet-rich plasma therapy has been introduced as a new non-surgical treatment for alopecia, or hair loss, for both men and women. The PRP is injected directly into the patient’s scalp, helping to stimulate the hair follicle to promote hair regrowth.

HOW CAN PRP HELP WITH FACIAL REJUVENATION AND ACNE SCARRING?

The platelets found in our blood can stimulate the regrowth of collagen and elastin.  The plasma is injected directly into the patient’s facial skin to help improve it's overall appearance. It can also be applied topically to the patient's skin after microneedling is done.
