Acne

Acne is a very common disorder of the skin that affects individuals of all ages.  Acne is characterized by comedones (blackheads and whiteheads), red papules and pustules, and sometimes cysts and nodules.  These lesions affect the face, jawline, neck, chest, back and shoulders.  Acne often first occurs during puberty, however adult-onset acne is an increasingly recognized condition. 

We offer a variety of topical and oral medications that are very effective at managing acne.  In addition, these treatments can be combined with chemical peels or laser and light-based treatments in order to maximize results. Acne scarring can also be treated with microneedling.
